Beijind Opear took a long time to develop，In the early Qing dynasty,Anhui Opera groups were popular in the southern area.In 1790,Four well_known Opear groups from Anhui province went to Beijing to celebrate the 80th birthday of the Emperor Qianlong.From then on, more and more Anhui Opera groups entered Beijing.About thirty eight years later，Some opear groups from Hubei Province arrived in Beijing ,too .Later on, a new opera in Beijing dialect was born.
For foreign friends， the most interesting thing of Beijing Opera may be the colorful and beautiful costume.Beijing Opear is pided into Beijing schools and shanghai schools.There were a large number of famous actors in different times，Such as Mei Langfang，Cheng Yuanqiu，Xun Huisheng and Shang Xiaoyun.
