Jean Burgers has been making jewellery since 2002, when she learned from master carver Chris Bone in Golden Bay, New Zealand. Jean Burgers creates intricate wearable artworks inspired by Sacred Geometry and ancient symbols.She has spent 18 years mastering traditional silver smith techniques,all designs are hand cut, carved and polished, making each piece a unique work of art.In a world of mass production, many jewelers have turned to laser cutting to speed up the process. While laser cutting is a valid form of manufacturing, Jean believes people appreciate jewellery that is entirely hand cut and crafted.Jean uses traditional metal smith techniques to create her jewellery, and cuts all of her metal designs by hand using a piercing saw.This process of creating jewellery by hand tends to bring more joy than mass production, and the intent and integrity of the creation process shines through in the finished piece.She always put her love into each inpidual piece.
2002年Jean Burgers跟随新西兰金色海湾的雕刻大师Chris Bone学习金工之后就开始制作首饰。她受到几何学和古代象征图案的启发，创造出繁复美丽的首饰。Jean Burgers花费18年的时间钻研传统的首饰金工技巧，所有的设计均为手工锯切、雕刻、抛光，使得每件作品都能成为艺术品。在这个批量化产品随处可见的时代，很多首饰工匠为提高效率使用激光锯切。激光锯切比手工锯切快速高效，但是她相信会有更多的消费者青睐纯手工首饰。她坚持使用传统金工技术，所有的金属零部件均为手工打孔、锯切。这种纯手工的制作方式比大批量生产更有趣，创作过程的理念和完整性使得成品更有意义。她也总是将创作激情融入每一件首饰。

Her passion for environmental sustainability is an integral part of her jewellery business. All of the stone and wood is ethically sourced and she works with recycled materials wherever possible. Her silver and gold scrap is all recycled and used in the creation of the next piece of jewelry. Her aim is to create unique talismanic artifacts, imbued with symbolism, which are then added to by the sentiment of the wearer.
她对自然环境的持续热情是她珠宝事业不可分割的一部分。她尽可能使用可回收材料，且所有的石头和木头都尽量对环境有利。那些金银碎片、粉屑都被回收，用来制作下一件首饰。她的目标是创造独特的有象征意义的首饰，可以承载佩戴者的感情。
